The ACE International Teachers' Training Institute is a program of the ACE Foundation a NGO based in Johannesburg South Africa which specializes in innovative Curriculum Development and Teachers' Training and Deployment. For the past 20 years we have been training qualified educators that have gained employment in international schools all over Africa.

Admissions

Admission Requirements: Applicants must have at least a Bachelor Degree or its equivalence in any subject area and have a strong motivation to become an international educator. Successful applicants will be contacted directly by email.

Tuition Fee & Scholarship: The fee for the training program is 750,000 FCFA ($1300). All payment are done directly into the ACE Leadership bank account provided on the admission letter. Proof of payment must be turned into the school administration.

Scholarships are available, but applicants must apply for scholarship to be considered.

Academics

Pedagogical Approach: The key teaching model to be used for training will be Blended Learning, combining face-to-face and online teaching strategies. For each learning module, the students will be required to make presentations, carry out projects, and collaborate with others through group work, as well as other team building activities.

A diversified experienced will be given to the trainees through practical exercises, videos and online lessons from other trained international educators out of Cameroon.

Internships: Applicants will be required to complete a two month internship in an international school as part of the graduation requirement. This will allow teachers to interact with students from multinational backgrounds during their one year of training.

Graduation requirements: Completion of 36 Credits

Semester 1

The trainees will be taught and evaluated on an internationally based curriculum. The 1st semester program is made of 6 teaching modules.
